  Together   with   Tongeren   and   Doornik,   Aarlen   (in   French:   Arlon)   is   considered   to   be   one   of the   oldest   cities   of   Belgium.   Even   before   Roman   times,   a   Celtic   settlement   existed   at   this location. The church St. Martin is the third church with the same name. The Divine Name can be seen in a rose window, in the form of Hebrew consonants.
